Forced ventilation discharge bench
Principle
Our discharge benches allow batteries (industrial, automotive, handling) to be discharged by dissipating energy as heat.
We can supply constant current discharge benches. As the battery discharges, a series of auxiliary resistors are added to compensate for the voltage drop.
Forced ventilation
The heat produced is dissipated by a ventilated air flow. This reduces the size of the heating elements while increasing power.
Designed to heat air to 40°C, these heating elements are built to last.
A proven design
Our resistors have been designed for extreme conditions: earthquakes, high temperatures, power surges, safety requirements, etc. The manufacturing process, which began in 1975, has been refined and proven. Millions of resistors are in use around the world.
Discharge applications came later, taking advantage of all the development work that had gone into load banks and braking resistors.
